ABOUT

Bio

As a child growing up in the French Alps near Geneva, I was first exposed to the sea by my late father who took me scuba diving in Corsica. After my studies, I subsequently traveled to New Zealand and the South Pacific in 2009 where I gradually developed a spirit of adventure. In 2011, I became a PADI Divemaster in Samoa and then a PADI instructor in the Philippines in 2015. In between, I worked as an underwater photographer on the Great Barrier Reef. It was at that moment that I sensed my life would need to be about protecting the ocean. I developed a very strong passion for the marine environment, something that led me to study an MSc in Marine Science at the University of Edinburgh in 2016. I am a French and British citizen, currently living in Aotearoa New Zealand with my wife Sylvie and son Maui.
